When I have a SETV Jan - March 2020, next a 30 days visa on arrival March - April (land border Vientiane) is it possible to do a next border crossing/run at Ranong to Myanmar? Or do u recommend me to get a extra 30 days at immigration? It will safe me around 1500 bath I guess and planning to go to Koh Payam around the date my VOA ends. Or option 2: Is it possible to extend in Ranong or do I need proof of a hotel where I am staying?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is considering whether to cross the border to Myanmar after their current Visa On Arrival expires or to extend their stay at the immigration office in Ranong. They are weighing the costs and convenience of both options, including potential savings and the need for hotel proof, while also questioning how long they plan to stay in Thailand.

If you have SETV Jan to Mar, you can apply extension anytime now at your current local immigration office (many of immigration office allow you to apply extension when your admitted until dated remaining less than 30days). 30days extension is added to current days, you wouldn't lose any days you don't have to wait until last minutes or move to specific immigration office area.

It depends on your passport nationality if you can bounce at Rayong or not.

Did the question change with lots of new details?

Is this because you get new answers on your other topic about how to stay inside Thailand?

Nope, just want to know if I can extend VOA in Ranong and need proof of staying there. Just planning ahead a bit because my friend comes in April and wants to visit Koh Phayam.

Save 1.900 Thb for the application of Extension of Stay.

Travel to the border, visa for Myanmar, travel back are all free?

As you can get the Extension of Stay at any day and a new 30 day at the border only at the end of your current stay, i would go for convenience and visit the immigration Office.
