some people are happy with a 6k room some spend 51k like you. I not like to stay Siam, Asok but prefer Bangna or some local quiet place. Everyone is different. The things is, it is there. Nothing to do with poor or anything, just choices
I visited Phills and stay Thailand for long periods at one place. My thoughts... food is much better in Thailand. Language can be difficult but I learned Thai. Still have the level of a little kid 😆 but it helps much especially in parts like isaan. Renting in Thailand is cheap and everywhere available.
