Agreed Tod, that's why I posted in the first place. Bangkok Bank in Bangkok obviously differs from Chiang Mai, however since we are in Bangkok better to follow the practices acceptable here until, if ever, the banks rationalise the immigration requirements.

Tod, I was at Bangkok Bank's Head office in Silom. The young lady took the letter to the second floor and discussed it to the amazement of the older ladies there. I will post a copy of what they were prepared to issue shortly.
