1) Transfer stamps to my new UK passport that was issued in Thailand after my last overseas trip at Xmas time.
2) Submit 90 day report ( first in person report after overseas trip)
Stamp transfer went like clockwork. I just handed over the form and the copies listed on the form.
For the 90 days report I had made an appointment through the online booking system. Appointment was for 11:40am and I was called at 11:41am so can’t complain about that!
I had prepared a new TM30 as soon as I received my new passport but the IO informed me that the new passport hadn’t been registered in their system until I had completed the stamp transfer had been completed therefore my TM30 was invalid. She let it go and approved my report but said I needed to resubmit my TM30 again with the new passport number before my next report as indicated by the below stamp on my 90 day receipt. Conclusion. If you get a new passport in country you need to complete the stamp transfer process and submit a new TM30 before you do a 90 day report or it might be rejected. In my case I managed to do stamp transfer and 90 day report on the same day but only because the IO was kind enough to give me a pass this time. I will do a new TM30 and see if I can do my next report online.
: With all the recent DTV updates and reports about entry issues into Thailand, I’m a DTV visa holder travelling in February for 10 days. Is it possible to skip the DTV process and just enter on a normal tourist visa to avoid any complications?”
