Need help again please.

Assume I have 2 US$ accounts with a Thai bank in Bangkok. In 1 I deposit, from a foreign source, say US$30,000. Subsequently on a monthly basis I transfer US$2,500 to account number 2. Question: I would use account 2 to satisfy the monthly income requirement. Since both sources are from a foreign entity would that satisfy the monthly income from a foreign source requirement?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether monthly transfers of US$2,500 from one Thai bank account to another (both containing funds deposited from a foreign source) satisfy the immigration requirement for proof of monthly income from foreign sources for their visa application. Community responses suggest consulting the local immigration office and the bank to clarify if the monthly transfers will be recognized as foreign income.

And with some options are given, the requirement of the Immigration is or banked money OR 12 months monthly foreign deposits into your Thai bank account. How you like to do your banking is personal choice. If you like to assume how this or this, or find out a system that works best for you, fine. Visit the Immigration Office and just ask if your way of bringing money into Thailand is according the financial requirement. Good Luck.

Visit your Immigration Office, take you Thai bank books and ask if this way will meet the financial requirements to apply for the Extension of Stay.. I would say the monthly deposit from bank account nr 1 in Thailand to bank account nr 2 in Thailand are not marked as: International Trade Finance Booking Center. This as you use a local bank to a local bank to transfer money, that you like to transfer USD does not make it come from abroad.

I thought you didn’t allow the discussion of moving money for visa purposes?

Yes if you have monthly transfers of $2,500 US in account that you can access the funds and have 12 consecutive months on transfers you’ll be fine if not you have more than 800k if you need to use that account as long as your able to access the money

You should talk to your bank about how to identify the money as coming from a foreign source. I talked to Kasikorn and they said they could provide a document. And of course talk to your immigration office.

IF they are willing to spend the time with you, you probably need to show the bank statement from Account 1 showing that the inbound funds are international transfer in the first place. That the account is in USD doesn’t make it foreign funds. So as the other folks ask, why not just use the original account?

Why 2 accounts? I have one account. I keep a minimum balance of 800,000 baht. I transfer my monthly expenses into the same account.

I would strongly suggest you ask your local Thai Immigration Office. Then you will best know what they will accept.
