If someone can send it to you, get them to mark it NCV, or even write it as no cash value, if there is a value on it they tax you a percentage of the listed value

I’ve sent to big boxes before and listed personal clothing no cash value

No customs charge

Prior to that, I sent a mattress overlay that was new, I paid over $200 AUD

Marked its value as $50

Item was held at the post office as I had to go and pay the duties on $50 but not on the actual price of over $200

@Milan *******
yes, has to be long term

I had a 5 year licence & when I renewed it about 5 years ago I was on a 6 month METV (tourist visa

They only gave me 2 years due ti being on a tourist visa at that time

Depends on your visa status for 5 year licence

If you arrive on VISA exempt or tourist visa you will only get a 2 year licence

Long term visa like retirement you can get a 5 year licence

Has to be single name only

Only name of applicant

If 2 people are applying they need separate accounts in their name only and 800,000 in each account

I haven’t used it, but seen post where ppl say they have, & others refer to it

I fly with Thai airways out of Australia

I usually have a return ticket although I have flown in before, visa exempt and my flight out was 3 months later as on that trip I planned 30 days arriving Thailand then Laos & return to Thailand 30 days then immigration extension

I’m not sure who my friend from UK flys with but he comes every year and does the same & never questioned

You probably will not no for sure until you check in for your flight

Your airline can refuse boarding if you don’t have a flight out that matches your stay in Thailand

Some don’t ask but some do

You could chance it, arrive early for check in, just in case there is an issue, then you can

Buy a fully refundable ticket online & cancel it after boarding or arrival in Thailand

There is a website where you can buy a legit ticket to show in this circumstance called onward ticket

Cost is approximately $14

It expires about 48 hrs after you purchase it

You can also try some bs waffle

If asked at check in, explain you will be extending your stay at a local immigration office for an extra 30 days before crossing to Laos by land boarder where you will stay for 60 days (30 +30 ext) then return to Thailand by land boarder for another 60 days, (30 +30 ext at immigration)

I quite often waffle a good yarn which has always been accepted & allowed to proceed 😎😎😎😎😎😎

I would not leave you renewal until the 6th

You can go much earlier & your extension will start from the expiration of your current visa

If you go right near the end & don’t have everything needed you might not have time to get what’s needed

I did mine 11 days before visa expired, visa extension was same date 1 year later

Single entry visa means you enter Thailand and stay for the duration allowed on the visa - usually 60 days if you leave before 60 days your visa is cancelled/ used / finished

Multi entry means you can enter and leave Thailand as much as you want

The METV is usually for 6 months duration

Each time you enter Thailand you get 60 day stay in Thailand then you must leave

You can fly out of Thailand or cross a land boarder, when you return to Thailand you will receive another 60 days stay

If you leave Thailand and return just before your METV expires you receive another 60 days

So a 6 months METV can get you 6 months plus an extra 60 days

If you are lucky enough and Boarder bounce again you can get another 39 days visa exempt if your nationality is entitled to the 30 day visa exemption
