no. no loca app in thakhek and even if most probably the car wouldn't be allowed to pass the border

this is a tour operator in thakhek. maybe they csn BL tour +856-20 9444 0050

i know another driver who does airport transfers from thakhek but he might charge 100+ usd

Why are they now asking for USD for the Visa on Arrival at Nong Khai?

they always asked for usd. the visa fee is announced on all official websites in usd. nowhere its stated in baht. ofc they accept thb but the amount isnt equivalent to 40 usd.

and it was like this already ten years ago when i came to laos the first time.

dont complain if u havent done proper research before u go

its important that she can either prove to have enough money or u will have to prove that u can pay for everything and that she had reason return to thailand (working contract (is the best), family, other duties). they are mainly afraid that no one can pay for her and that she wont go back.. (strange thinking)

yes u will get another entry stamp o. visa exemption if there is no reason for the immigration officer to deny u

if u dont pay 40 usd they will normally charge 2000 thb.

the fee for the is 40 usd its no where mentioned that amount in thb is equivalent.

just turn up with the right amount in usd and they wont charge u too much
