Just out of curiosity, does anyone if a Thai person were to buy a new PC or Laptop outside of Thailand and had it sent to Thailand via a Postal or Courier service, would they pay these import duties? What about if the PC or Laptop were a used one?
If all goes well, I'll move to Thailand to live in 2025 & will want a computer with decent power (gaming level machine, but not for games). I may upgrade my current PC or get a new one & thinking about asking my close Thai friend that lives close to me to send it to her house in Thailand if my plans go well
, Can you apply for a tourist visa for visiting a country (in this case, Thailand) when in Australia while you are a USA Citizen? Maybe not, from my little online research. As you are only in Australia for a week, I don't think you can get a Visa in under a week...unless the Thai Consulate in Sydney has an option to pay an extra fee for an express service.
really? Marry a Thai person and end up divorcing, then the Thai Government says 'get out'! Failure to have the required amount of money in the Bank Account ft the specified times and for the specified periods, or fail to comply with some of those other requirements & they'll kick you out, won't they? When you get a Visa to live in Australia, you can apply for Permanent Residency and within a few years, Citizenship. Only serious criminal offences would see one deported & other than that, residence is permanent. I'm sure that the other countries you mention are the same. Thailand it seems, can kick you out for very 'flimsy' reasons.
actually, Stuart Cumming posted in the last few days about using the correct words when it comes to Visas & Extensions, as using the correct words helps others, including Moderators to be able to provide correct and accurate responses.
correct, but will all GP's bulk bill for something like this, which perhaps isn't a standard consultation for a current illness or injury? Just a thought, I'm not looking for a debate or argument...as I said in my first response to you, just a possibility and not saying I'm right. I'm just basing my thoughts on knowing that Medicare has a table of charges that doctors (GP's at least) have to either abide by or use as guidelines.
