TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires whether Kasikorn Bank allows the use of PayID for banking transactions. Responses clarify that PayID is not recognized in Thailand; it is an Australian payment system similar to Thailand's PromptPay. Users suggest utilizing local banking methods like direct bank transfers or QR code payments instead.

PayID is an Australian system. Why would Thai banks support it?

PayID is not used in Thailand. People just do bank to bank direct transfers, or scan a QR code and pay. They don't use third party apps to pay with.

Wise has PayID

Not sure what country you are from but PayID must be a specific name for a service in your country that sounds like Promptpay in Thailand, FPS in Hong Kong, Zelle in America and a bunch of similar services in different countries. You must set up Promptpay through your Thai bank directly. Such services are country specific.
yes, I've checked online after I finished work and PayID is specific to Australia, where I currently live. I posted this question in a short break while I was at work. It's probably very similar to the ones that you mentioned. I was hoping it was international, as I was hoping to send a small monetary gift to my girlfriend in Thailand, but obviously this won't work.
isn’t PayID the Australian brand name of a service similar to PromptPay in Thailand. Both services are country specific. They don’t include cross border payments.
I'm not really sure how to explain it, other than it's a method of sending money to someone's bank account, from your own bank account. All that's required is each person setting up their own PayID within their own account, then the one who is to receive money just gives the sender their email address or phone number, depending on what they used to set up their PAYID. I think from memory, that's about all there is to it. Where it's located within one's account is where one would go to send money.
I've never heard of PromptPay so I have no idea if they're the same or different. Could be the same, but known by different names in different parts of the world. See my response to
is PromptPay set up within one's bank account? If so, they are likely the same, considering a phone number can be used. I've not heard of using the ID# or QR Code.
