Opinions of what officialdom might want don't help. Time and money has gone into applying for an advertised product. Our energies should go into assisting applicants to secure that product at minimum effort and expense.
They haven't 'decided' how much income is required to live on in Thailand. They've quoted average Norwegian annual income of $70,000 USD per annum. Such garbage is the reason we're here trying to help applicants overcome the glaring inaccuracies, inconsistency, arrogance and incompetence of government departments.
Problem is the only person who really knows why your application was rejected is the person who processed it and they won’t say. You say an agent advised that you’d missed some pages of your passport. Why didn’t the consulate tell you this? If your new application is approved I would ask your bank/credit card company to perform a ‘chargeback’ on your first one. You are entitled to a refund for their lack of customer service.
If you end up having to go to your immigration office in person I would give the officer a tip and ask for their mobile phone/Line number. Has proven useful to me previously.
What you have read must have been troll posts. Six months is the present recommended minimum length of course for DTV applications. After that has expired there is no requirement to enrol in an ongoing course. Neither are future medical or dental appointments required once DTV has been granted.
Same Immigration processes. What would you suggest in that scenario? Hold out? How long for? Personally, I’d offer some money. Worth it to be on my way.
