I just did a border bounce at Satun border South Thailand coming off the last Covid Extension in my passport. Used an agent and had no problems at all. Was getting asked a few questions until the officer spoke with my agent after which i was sent on my way. Whole process took 10/15 mins. Currently on the 7hr bus ride back to Phuket now

We are planning a thailand / malaysia border bounce this weekend. We plan to drive to as close to the Satun boarder as possible and then cross over on foot and come straight back in again… does this approach sound doable, is this still allowed? Also what documents will we need if any? I believe we will get 45 days now 1st October has passed. Any advice would be hugely appreciated 🙏🏼

Update: it seems like next week the situation could change again, hopefuly back to normality, with the only restriction (stamp refused) to people with 30 days visa exempt + 30 days extension + 7 DAYS EXTRA EXTENSION.

____________________________________________

Important Communication about Border Run in SATUN:

Every citizens re-entering Thailand crossing this border will be refused to get 30 days visa exempt stamp.

People with a legal one-year visa (Non Immigrant) who needs 90-days stamp, can regularly get it.

But, if your one year visa is expired, your tourist visa is expired, your 30 days visa exempt is expired, and you already got the 30 days extension at Samui Immigration, NOW YOU CAN NOT GET A 30-DAYS VISA EXEMPT STAMP AT SATUN BORDER.
