I have only recently joined this group and to be frank I am amazed at the level of questions being asked every day. It appears to me that the visa process is an absolute minefield or am I being somewhat naive.
I would suggest that a lot of questions could be answered by contacting the Thai authorities in the home countries of those asking. I am about to embark on a 3 week fact finding mission to Pattya to check out locales etc with a view to perhaps returning full time. In that instance I will be sitting down with my local Thai consulate and finding out from them what my responsibilities are.
Any thoughts appreciated as I am nervous about the whole process given what I read here on any given day.
Hello, I’m looking to apply for the DTV visa online. Is proof of one month Muy Thai classes enough to apply or does it need to be more time? I saw a few ppl mention Tiger Eye, any other suggestions would be appreciated . Thanks!
Hi guys, I wonder if anyone can give me some advice. Is there anyone on here that has moved to Thailand from the U.K at all? Looking for some guidance on this matter if anyone can help. How difficult is this to achieve? The do’s and don’t’s as it were.
URGENT request for O Negative blood donations for Bangkok Hospital Phuket until tomorrow morning.
If there are group members in Phuket that could donate before the patient flys by air ambulance tomorrow morning (Saturday 24th February,) his name is and reference is RUPERT GUY BARRETT, Bangkok Hospital, PHUKET, and they could take the units with him on the flight.
If there are group members in Bangkok city, that could donate ready for when he arrives for emergency heart surgery, his reference is RUPERT GUY BARRETT, Bangkok Hospital, BANGKOK.
Thank you so much for your kind consideration (and sharing by screenshot) of this appeal. Thank you.

We are hoping that members here might assist;
We have a good friend who is visiting Phuket and has become gravely unwell after 2 heart attacks these last days.
He needs (an unplanned) triple bypass, but he has an extremely rare blood group (O-negative) and there are only between 3 to 5 units (some imported from Singapore this last week) in the whole of Thailand. Not enough for the vascular surgeons in to even consider this surgery.
He is currently in The Bangkok Phuket Hospital and we could use some help regarding blood donations and who and where to ask for assistance regarding asking for further help finding blood donations (very rare O-neg) regarding this.
If you could spread this message, the patient reference is Mr Rupert Guy Barrett, care of Bangkok, Phuket Hospital and he may be in with a chance if any group members have or know somebody that has the rare blood group O Negative and might consider donating blood.
What is the procedure and the gotchas of COVID extensions in Chiang Rai? Specifically, do they apply that “under consideration” nonsense like in Chiang Mai, i.e. where they would waste ones valuable passport pages and time by stamping in a under consideration stamp first, and make you come back about 14 days later for another stamp of the remaining days? And is it busy these days? Else, where in the area / neighboring cities can COVID extensions be done smoothly and directly? Thanks.
