He can’t open another account because he hasn’t got a long term visa.

An Elite visa gives great convenience. DTV can be good but you have to qualify.

It is. But some people get confused as it’s valid for 90 days.

A non O. That’s good. I thought you may have got a tourist visa as you weren’t specific.
Ralph *******
I think you should get the non O visa. If your visa is a tourist visa, then it isn’t suitable and you won’t be able to open a bank account with it.

What is the nature of your eVisa?

Can he or does a Thai national have to hold 51%?
Ralph *******
Various visa options dependent on your circumstances. If you are over fifty then ‘non O’ may be your best choice. This you apply for from outside of Thailand. There are financial requirement in order to qualify.

Also, be aware that you can’t work there without a work permit. So, you need to be of independent means.

Technically, no. Your onward journey has to be within your permitted period of stay, which is 60 days. However, they very rarely check. If you haven’t abused the visa exemption in the past then you should be ok.

However, the airline bringing you to Thailand may well check. They can refuse to let you board. Not all airlines check but most I’ve used do.
