If they do allow it, which I believe would be doubtful, be careful to not post anything that anyone could consider nudity. Thai jail is no joke!

quote from the article you referenced:

"Similarly, he was very non-committal on the 90-day visa reporting requirement. In short, it remains in force as it is seen as a security measure."

it doesn't, but it is something to consider. People come here financially unprepared for accidents and emergencies and get stuck or worse. Just wanted to give you something to consider is all.

Just a question, but do you have any kind of income at all? Savings won't last forever. Of course, that depends on how long you are going to stay and all, but definitely something to think about before moving overseas. Even if you get the visa, how long can you sustain yourself? Something to think about is all.

I assumed he was talking about any long term visa. Sorry, I forgot about the LTR.

I'm curious as to some of these will play out. I mean, one appointment and you got a 5 year visa? Will they require another to re-enter after you leave? Will they ask for ongoing medical care in the future? Remember, folks, any visa can be revoked. I hope it never happens to anyone, however I just can't see immigration being so lax on these.

I wouldn't cut it that close, but yes. You also have to check to see if there is a dual tax agreement with your home country if you pay taxes there.

the same amount as if you stayed 180 days in any year on a tourist visa. It isn't the visa type that triggers taxes, it's the 180 days.

save up the money. Honestly, if you don't have at least 500,000 baht as backup money you probably shouldn't consider moving overseas to begin with.
