I have a strange question.  Has anyone from the US had a layover in Taipei?  Just wondering if I can buy some food or something while I'm waiting without exchanging money.

Yes, I was there a few weeks ago. You can buy food with a credit card.

Sure you can buy food inside the secure area . The food court is upstairs in terminal 2.

Yes you can pay for your food with your credit card.

Menus are in English and Chinese.

Staff speak a little English and are very pleasant.

I was there Wednesday….

The only problem might be if you arrive really early…..like 6 AM.

In that case bring some snacks or a sandwich from home.

Like i said, no, not many people buy overpriced food at airports. The outlets are there for the idiots who don't mind spending US$20 on a small sandwich never mind you get a meal on the plane.

Yes but you get so much to eat and drink on the plane and the cabin pressure and dry air makes you feel bloated. Then you will be fed again on the next flight.

Yeah I went through Taipei on my last trip to Thailand. You can use your card or Apple Pay to buy things in the airport.

Yes at the food court 3 floor, Mc do ,KFC and more .and cheaper up there .
