I begged and pleaded with them to let me use my USA address because I know things get “lost” in the mail here. They insisted I had to use my actual Thailand address (which I have to notify them of every time I move). Sure enough, what you describe has happened a couple of times. Last year I never received the letter from them and they cut me off.

You can’t renew the visa but you can get an extension.

it is either or but in the first year, you have to use the 800,000 in the bank method. During that year, bring in /month and you can take out the 800,000 in the 2nd year.

you don’t have to exit every 180 days. You can extend for another 180 days making it 1 year in-country.

I just transferred a bit over “for long term stay”. It took one day. But in the past I’ve had it take up to a week from time to time. A lot of complaining seemed to fix it.

The best first date spot is a good coffee shop. Low investment.
