I plan to apply for my retirement visa in a couple days. Does my 800k bank statement need to be done the same day of the application? Also, Do I need to request multiple entry now?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The application for the retirement visa (often referred to as an extension on a Non-O visa) requires that the 800k bank statement be current. Many commenters noted that while bank letters are valid for 7 days, specific immigration offices may require the statement and confirmation of a transaction on the day of application. Regarding the entry permit, a multiple entry can be requested separately, but it may depend on individual needs versus costs.

There is no such thing as a retirement visa. You probably mean a retirement extension on a Non-O visa. A multiple re-entry permit can be applied for at any time.

There is a 90 day Non-O based on retirement available inside Thailand.

Different immigration offices have different rules. Recommend you comment at which office you will apply, then maybe someone that uses that office can advise you.

Bangkok bank 1 year statement takes around 5 days (Chiang Mai)for them to produce, the bank letter is valid for 7 days and you have to update your bank book on the day, so I go at least a week before and order the statement then go to the bank on the day to pick up statement and the letter and update my book, you can pick up statement and letter a few days before but must update your book on the day you go to immigration

In Buriram they want the statement and bank letter the day of application and there must be a transaction on that day too.

Do you really need a multi-entry re-entry permit at 3800B on a 90 day Visa, wouldn't a single entry at 1000B be better?

if I need to do a trip out the first 90 days by chance, can i get one at the airport?
Graham ******
Yes you can, at BKK use Departures 2 which is where the re-entry permit desk is located, operates 24h/day

The bank letters are good for 7 days, with the date on the letter counting as the first day.
