it really isn’t that simple. I had to make 4 trips to the consulate in Vietnam exactly because the needed documentation and requirements were either not mentioned on their website or were confusing.

if you get a 60 day tourist visa, you can extend it for 30 days, giving you a total 90.

not necessarily. I was once in Tesco looking for honey. I asked someone working there and because I didn’t use exactly the right tone (you have to widen the mouth) she had no idea what I was asking.

If it’s still not coded correctly, even when selecting the correct “reason for transfer”, which has happened to me, there is a process that customer service will give you. I haven’t gone through it yet but may have to soon.

Yes, they have. And they've been checking visas left and right in Pattaya recently. Just follow the news and you'll frequently hear about people being arrested for overstay
