I used to have the elite and all I can add is the yearly extension of stay is much easier with my O and banked money. Although if you live in Bangkok the elite team will do it all for you for a fee.

I agree. Never used to ask for anything like that. I used to get 6 month tourist visa and it was a very simple thing to apply for. They never asked for bank statements.

then if it's in person that may be a different matter and you may have to print the requested documents

absolutely. I actually only provided a week for a Non O 7 weeks ago and I got approved. It's impossible to upload 6 months of bank statements to the evisa application

The evisa site only accepts jpeg so unfortunately that's the only way I worked out how to do it. I used photo editing app cymera to clean and crop the images.
