 Thanks, yes .. but what do we do if they did not give her the paper in her passport ? This was done in Chonburi, but we are in Cha Am now!

 when I spoke to Savannakhet Thai Embassy they told me that I would need to show proof of finances for her to get the Non O visa

 i have a retirement extension here so my wife could get a non O from Savanakhet also Vientiane. Both require financial proof.

But if for example a Filipina is married to a foreigner say from UK . THEN proof of income is required at Savannakhet.

I asked at my local immigration office, they said she would have to exit the country get an O class and then when back in Thailand apply for an extension based on my longstay retirement
