Is there any point in making a Thai will if my only benefactors are in the UK. Can you state that any funds are returned to my UK bank. I just have a feeling that there is very little chance of that happening.

I had an account with Bangkok Bank with the 800,000 for the yearly visa extension. As I didn't want to touch that money I just opened a second account with Bangkok Bank which is used for day to day expenses.

No problem with that. Keep the jobs for Thais. Maybe if our home countries did the same we wouldn't be in the shit we are. Anyway probably OK if we work on something we own.

Don't know if it helps but in the small town in Thalland where I live there are two black American guys. Both married to Thai women and no problems. Accepted by everyone as far as I know.

I flew EVA last year and my passport was throughly checked. Luckily I had a retirement visa with a reentry permit so not a problem. But look out.

shouldn't make any difference. My bank account (Bangkok Bank) was originally set up in Udon Thani when I was living there. Now live in Nong Khai and the Bank there now supplies all my info for immigration. I have changed my address with the bank. So even though my account is still with Udon bank, they have my Nong Khai address.

in Nong Khai DLT would not accept it for driving licence renewal. The main Honda dealer accepted it for bike purchase and registration.

In theory it should replace the need for a certificate of residence from immigration. But as this is Thailand, sometimes it will then sometimes it won't.
