wrong, my tax bracket is 25% in Thailand. I pay about 20% in the USA. I would have to pay an extra 5% to Thailand. This is with no deductions.

I am guessing that you pay the higher tax between your country and Thailand if your country has a double taxation treaty.

Medicare only pays for medical services in the USA. Medicare is worthless oversea.

why would it matter if you seek medical attention in the USA if you are paying for Medicare?

I think Mexico is the #1 destination for USA retirees. Close to the USA to get medical services. Mexico has a lower cost of living compared to the USA.
