I arrived in Thailand on 14th Jan and my visa expires on 14th March. To extend this my Thai partner and I travelled to Laos today with intentions of returning to Thailand on 13th March. I have been told by the Thai office at Nong Khai that I will not be allowed back in via Nong Khai and must fly to Bangkok to get entry back into Thailand. As I stay near Phang Khon in Sakon Nakhon I will then have to fly back to Udon Thani for my partner to collect me with vehicle we have left at Nong Khai as we have done on last 2 visits to Laos. Any advise would be more than welcome, sorry if it is a bit long winded, many thanks, Chris
I went Sakon Nakhon yesterday and renewed my retirement visa. Had my bank letter and passbook up to date and had my two passport photos. The process went quick and easy. The people there are very nice and helpful.
I'm in the process of securing a work permit, however my employer (a government school in Sakon Nakhon) seems not to be aware that I need to have a police clearance for the Non B visa, hence doesn't know the right document to provide in order for me to request the clearance at the nearest police station.
I came to Thailand on November 27th on a Retirement Visa. My first 90 day reporting is the 25th of February I am required to report my residence to immigration before that 90 day reporting requirement. If so does it have to be in person or where can I report online. I am in Sakon Nakhon.
DEPORTED FOR WORKING ON WRONG EXTENSION AND NO WORK PERMIT
Just for information - "D___ G___ is being transferred to Bangkok this afternoon.
Apparently it stemmed from a complaint that he was working without permit.
Talk is that the complainant appears to have 'influence.' The apprehension was coordinated by a number of departments according ". Now this happened in Sakon Nakhon in Isaan , not a big town by any stretch. Just shows that the clampdown is all over the country. He will now be deported back to Germany, obviously his wife etc is all here !
