Does your girlfriend have a strong enough reason to return back to Thailand? Own a house? Business? Kids?
My wife recently got her visa to USA to live and work, when she went to the embassy for the interview she said even those married to US citizens were being denied ( marriage under 2 years), luckily we’ve been married over 10 years and she got her visa.
I just did my “retirement” visa myself in January, paid immigration 1900 baht and for all the bank papers/photocopies/photo a few hundred baht more. 70,000 is absurd.
Every so often I’ll hear stories like this, but over the past 2 years of me doing the monthly transfer, it’s been good for me and if it wasn’t, I’d switch from smartphone app to PC website or wait a day.
I’m a US citizen living in Thailand, and over the past 18 years of flying in/out of Thailand on a one-way ticket, I’ve never been asked about a return ticket from any airline or immigration officer.
