TLDR : Answer Summary
The quoted prices for a 30-day visa extension in Thailand vary significantly, with some agents on Soi Post Office charging between THB 4,500 and THB 5,500. However, many users in the comments suggest that the standard fee for a visa extension at the immigration office is only THB 1,900, which can be completed without an agent. They emphasize the simplicity of the process and recommend doing it oneself, highlighting that agents commonly charge higher rates for a task that can be accomplished independently. User experiences indicate that while some may choose to use agents for convenience, particularly in case of time constraints or complications, the general sentiment is to avoid them for such straightforward procedures.

Some people have more money than sense. It’s a 10 minute job to do it yourself at Bluport and costs 1900 baht. Go around 3pm. No standing around, they provide seats for you to sit on!

The funniest word in the OP is “respectively”, 555. Charging someone 200-300% just to fill out a form an 8th grader could do is a tragic laugh.

Are you real? 30 day extension cost you money? That's just stupid.

I did mine myself was not that painful. Just took a day. And it was a lot cheaper than that. 1900 baht. you might have to take two trips to the office to get the right forms, which is what I had to do. I would go a few days early get your forms. You’ll have to have wherever you’re staying and renting the owner will need to fill out a document. If they are an Airbnb or hotel, they’ll be very familiar with how to do it. In fact, the place I was staying was so familiar they didn’t even really need the form. They downloaded it and sent it in for me. I just took a copy. FYI, not all offices for immigration are created equal. If you are in a touristy area, it will take more time than five minutes.

Don’t use an agent. Do yourself. If I can, etc.

Do it yourself. Get the paperwork sorted and go within 7 days of your stamp ending, and go first thing in the morning (8am) 1900฿

I used a great agent who deals with everything and she charged 3900 and that included the 1900 fee to immigration. We were in and out in 5 minutes - she’s mates with the big boss. DM me if you want her deets 👍

"in and out in 5 minutes..." and charged you 2,000

she dealt with all the photographs, filled in the forms and enabled us to jump the queue and not sit in that from room for ages. Worth every penny - not for everyone, I get it if it’s not in some people’s budget but for me it was a bargain

budget is not the point, it fuels corruption, and creates problems down the line, for example the DLT in Phuket now has a 3 month waiting list for an appointment, because they realized during Covid they could push everyone towards agents and get kickbacks - now we have to drive to Phang Nga to get license renewed same day or pay for an agent to jump rhe queue

You need to read up, seriously. It's a basic thing

3500 is the normal agent rate.
