Is 70,000 Baht a fair price for a retirement visa agent in Thailand?

I too am applying for the LTRV visa. But my lawyers are only charging me 7,500 baht. That's way too much. Also and I don't know if anyone can comment on this on the LTRV :Required documents for Qualification Endorsement for LTRV: Wealthy Pensioners it makes no reference to an 800k deposit as a needed requirement yet when you Google it it says quite clearly that an 800k deposit is needed on an account in your name for two months. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks 😊

Takes 15-30 minutes plus waiting time at the immigration.

Pay 1900 and you’re good. If you leave the country more than 3 times per year, get a multiple reentry for 3800.

Otherwise you can get it every time you leave for 1000 at the airports.

I think I just paid about 30,000, maybe a little less. I did not have the 800K so the agent provided that. I had to show up at immigration one time to have picture taken. I had to show up at the agent's office 3 times, I think.

Seems an excessive price. Mine through and agent was 14k.baht.

Tell him that you have now another 3 friends coming to Thailand and that they need the Visa, too. But he must give you all a discount. He will give you and you ask for the time to talk with your friends. And do not call him anymore. If he will call you tell him that you are waiting their answer and you will call him back ( thai way to send you to hell ). Do not call him. He will start to understand that his dream to make easy money robbing you and much more money with your friends is really a dream.

please do it yourself. Pop in to your local immigration office for a list of the requirements needed for your visa. Each office has its own requirements, so best get their list. Once you've done it, you will never think of using an agent again.

Which visa r u after.I did it myself.If it's a retirement visa apply for non o in your own country.This gives you 90 days.With non o you can open a Thai bank account.Deposit 800k in account after 2 months go to immigration and apply for extension for 1 year.This is assuming you're after retirement.

You will need a letter from bank confirming your account and an update statement on the day you go to immigration.It sounds a bit complicated but it's not really.Just answer the questions on the form.If I can do it ,anyone can.baht is way to much.

I just did my “retirement” visa myself in January, paid immigration 1900 baht and for all the bank papers/photocopies/photo a few hundred baht more. 70,000 is absurd.

Chances are that the immigration office you use will have trainee officers there who will be only too glad to help you if you ask.

The price is higher if you need same-day processing for the 3-month plus 1-year extension.

There are more affordable options if you are okay with slower processing times.

It's around ฿30k in Pattaya (cheaper than that if you have your own finances) for the initial 90 day non o visa, plus the 12 months extension of stay based on retirement, it's around another ฿1000 to ฿4000 if you want a single or multiple re-entry permit, they usually ask you to start the process a month before your current stamp expires (it's easier to just stay in Pattaya for one month until the process is complete) that's when doing it the first time, if you can meet the financial requirements, try and do it yourself, just get a list of requirements, for the initial non O and 12 month extension based on retirement from immigration, visit 30 to 45 days before your current stamp expires, don't pay ฿70k that is way to expensive.

Go to immigration and get the paperwork it will tell you exactly what you need.

Pattaya it was 25K for a single entry , 29K for a multi entry with Maneerat down Soi .

To open a Bankkok Bank account it was 5000 Bahts.

Is this even possible anymore? I read as of Feb 17th one requires 800k in the bank. No more agents temporarily fronting the money.

Thai Visa Centre are phenomenal and professional. Have worked with them for six years now and find them very reasonably priced for everything they offer.

There is a crackdown on agents at the moment - so they are having to pay a lot more ‘tea money’ to get the visas processed. Expect the charges to go up significantly over the next few months.

You can book online for appointment.. it helps a lot … also book for multiple entry.. I do not see the need for an agent if you have funds sorted … once u are in the agent process it can cause problems later if you try to renew without

If you can read and write you can readily do it yourself. Only people who do not fully quaily need agents to find creative solutions!

If you have 800 k in the bank, just take all documents required to immigration and they will guide you … if you still not sure take a Thai friend with you for translation… no agent required

Renewed my retirement visa yesterday at Phetchaburi. ฿1900 and 34 minutes of my precious time. Done. These agents are a huge scam! Don’t waste your money. 💰

I've tried them all but THAI VISA CENTRE is the best by miles. Just post everything to them recorded delivery - even if you don't have money in the bank - they will do everything and post it all back to you a week later - recorded delivery 👍

What are they actually doing for that money? Bearing in mind it costs 1900 if you've got the bank account and money deposited.
