Oh it just dawned on me you mean the note next to the visa and red stamp.. Never mind me.. I will just go hide in a corner now ;)

I have that exact same stamp on my non-o single entry based on marriage, from Vientiane. Since then been on 1 year extensions.. Asked my wife just now, and she say it just says the same in Thai as the English text under: "royal thai embassy Vientiane"
Mikkel *******
Or maybe you mean a re-entry permission to an existing visa/extension?
Mikkel *******
What kind of visa are you talking about? Turist visa?

Cost of living is not more or less being married or not. Rent, electricity, water, car (with insurance) etc etc is essentially the same.. But if you are two persons sharing those expenses (in theory! 555) it is half the required amount from each.. Maybe thats why.. Or maybe its because it looks like a longer commitment to be married/have children, and therefore more money is required for the retirement extension, as you could more easily uproot and move your money elsewhere.

@David ******
, if that power of the IO office boss is used, then of course it should be relatively clean. But a lot of services has simply faked documents, and that a whole other story.

its OR a monthly income of 65.000, OR 800k banked for 3 months.. Not both.. As for the advice to pay 20k for some shady way to get extension, I would be wary of doing that, as they are cracking down on that kind of business, hard..

It doesn't matter how you cross the border as long as you get stamped out of Thailand, in and out of another country and in to Thailand again.
