What should I enter for the "check-out date" in the new TM30 registration system if I have no scheduled date?

In the new TM30 system, after registering, adding the address, and then wanting to make a notification. Does anyone know how to deal with the required field "check-out date"?

It is registered as a household. It´s a permanent address, with yellow book and all. Being here on a yearly extension. There is no scheduled check-out date..

So do I put the end date of my extension? It´s a required field, and not possible to leave blank.

If no-one knows, I guess I will ask immigration when I go there next month to apply for the extension again.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Users are experiencing confusion regarding the mandated 'check-out date' field in the TM30 registration process. Many suggest inputting the end date of one’s visa extension or a future date as answers. Some have noted that the field seems to accept various types of dates without errors, indicating flexibility in input. A few users recommend consulting immigration for precise guidance, particularly as there are concerns about the implications for longer stays without a defined check-out date. Overall, while this field is required, the exact expected details to enter remain unclear to many expats.

Check-out date is only for your guests. The registration of the house does not require a check-out date.

I also noticed it appears you can file a TM30 using ANY check in date 😮 (before you only had a 2 day window to file) but I put a date in the future and it didn't error out and I put a date in the past and it didn't error out either

People need to READ the User Guide which is at the bottom of the log in page

It goes a LONG way to getting you on track

I actually did, but they do not mention what to do when you don't have a checkout date. And the QA is lacking too, to say the least. Hence why I asked on here.

i think the system is SO new that no one will know. I fooled with it and could put a date more than a year out so dunno really

Next time may the Imm. require our info. from new website?

I think so

I just entered 365 days as length of stay. I don't think they care, not sure why it is a mandatory field. They also don't ask for type of visa so they don't know how long you are allowed to stay anyway.

ended up just choosing 31 December 2024. Will ask my local immigration in a couple of weeks what they think I should enter there in the future.

Contract date would be the option I think. Since that outline your time of stay.

Also for the address in the box you have to go to edit profile and then add the details from there. You only choose the option in the box. However you do not get any receipt for completing this so have a screen shot ready

I did add the address already. Have no contract or lease as my wife owns the house.

@Mikkel ******
additionally is this the new proof we can keep with us ? As there is no receipt after completing this ?
Tod *********
@Ehlers ********
nope, you go into the system after you've saved it and SEARCH for it then you take a screen grab of that page
Ehlers *********
@Tod ********
may I ask you to guide me to this search section ?

It seems to be eluding me
Tod *********
@Ehlers ********
it's the MAIN page you get to when you log in look at the top left it says "SEARCH"

You check the address box, then put in the date you filed a TM30 in both boxes in the middle and then press the blue search in the bottom right corner

Should call up any TM30's filed that day
Ehlers *********
@Tod ********
thank you for clearing that up for me

@Mikkel ******
might be a good idea to add a letter in the support documents section just to outline that. I uploaded my contract, landlord details and support documents
Mook ******
Same problem. I put in the next year date and put a note that "Don't know when to check out"
Mook ******
There is the sentence "Warning : Creating or providing false documents or information is a crime" at the left corner. So, the note is just to protect myself.
Tod *********
@Mook *****
no need to put any note just pick a date I think
Bhakta **********
Anyone know how to add the address permanently? Or do you have to put it new for each notification?
Tod *********
@Bhakta *********
you GO in to your profile and click the ADD button at the right side

then you fill out the address and save it and when you go to file a TM30 you tick the box OF that address. You can add as many addresses as you want (like if you stay at two or more places during the year

thanks so much 🙏

They seem to want to know how long you will be there….number of days…along with check out date.

Try putting the date your "one year visa" ends.

It IS a mandatory field but appears you can put any date you want. ..

definitely ask them. There is nothing that makes you use the date your extension ends as the check out date

- i could not input a date beyond my extension expiry date, which is next month. So can I assume that when I get my next 12 month extension that the date in October 2024 can be inputted but as I wont know until November ( my extension is based on marriage so notification is not immediate ) there will be a void ? Is this OK ? Will Immigration ask where I was when I complete my next 90 day report ?

@Robert **********
strange I just did everything but file a TM30 and it let me put any date I wanted to when I went to add someone and file on the address I have saved 😕 I just picked Dec 31 2024 at random but my extension expires april 2024

When does it error out and not let you put a date past your extension date?

I can't see where it even ASKS when your extension expires when you file a TM30 is there a second page?

@Tod ********
- must be me or the Immigration Office I am with, Chiang Mai , lol ! I'll ask when I go there for my interview this week anyway. To be honest the staff there are quite helpful.
Tod *********
@Robert **********
and are you getting that same screen I just posted in the above image? because that's where you FILE a TM30 on the system and it doesn't ask for when your extension expires on that screen
Robert ***********
@Tod ********
- that's the screen but would not allow me to input a later date than the expiry one of my extension. For example I tried 31st March 2024 and would not take this entry .
Tod *********
@Robert **********
that's crazy because how would this program know your extension expiration date? It's not even asked for when you file a TM30 OR when you register to use the system.

It's got to be matching against another database 🙁 strange indeed

@Tod ********
- success this time , imputed October 2024 . I must have done something different compared to my efforts on Saturday but I do not know what, lol !

my extension expires 31 October, and it accepted that I chose 31 December 2024 as checkout date. It's in the system now when I search, and has a green color showing its okay and processed. Strange indeed if it doesn't work the same for all users.

- right, I will try again .
