The conversation highlights recent announcements regarding changes to Thailand's work permit regulations. One commenter emphasizes the need for an official announcement from the Thai Ministry of Labor to confirm the details. Another mentions that initial proposals often turn out to be less favorable than expected for workers. There is a general sentiment that the changes are aimed at easing regulations for companies hiring foreign labor, particularly in construction, but might not significantly affect most foreigners.

The idea is mostly to ease difficulties for companies employing labour force and to keep continuity in consctruction and development (Burmese). Will have little or no impact on the rest of the foreigners.

Yes this ain't the final layout of the new rules these are as always the outcast but as we also know it often comes out alot less beneficial for the user in the end

This is an announcement of the British Chamber of Commerce, sometimes written like it is introduced, sometimes the plan is. Before we all jump into discussion what we think what is possible or not, I really like to see the official announcement of the Thai Ministry of Labor with changes in the labor act.
