This might be a stupid question.. But is showing bank account statements and bank letter enough when its a marriage extension you apply for? Or do you need the affidavit of income from the embassy just like on extension based on being over 50? I know you can use tax notification/pay slips if thai income. But if it's not a thai income, and your embassy dont make the letters anymore. Is the requirements for proving your income the same as retirement?
I have a marriage extension and use the 400.000 banked method.
Just curious.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the requirements for extending a marriage visa in Thailand, specifically whether bank account statements and a bank letter suffice for income proof or if an affidavit of income from the embassy is necessary, particularly since some embassies are no longer issuing these affidavits. The conversation reveals uncertainty about current immigration rules, with some stating the affidavit is still needed for a monthly income proof.
