Well if you think about it the best thing to do is to have a long-term Visa like a retirement Visa and elite Visa or if you're married then I believe a one-way ticket is acceptable but the safest that if you're just using a tourist visa would be to buy a one-way bus ticket out of Thailand that you could always not use or buy one that's refundable it'll show that you're leaving the country
Just don't leave, walk through the jungle into Malaysia and just keep walking until you get to the straight of Malacca put yourself in a raft made out of bamboo, float across until you hit Indonesia keep on walking across the country until you hit the ocean and swim to Australia.

Yes get rid of your Bangkok bank account I still have mine but I'm considering getting rid of it it I have a Kasikorn account, I think a lot of it depends on where you open the account to I open both of mine in Krabi province once you get into the system and you're in Thailand for a while with a marriage visa which is something that makes it much easier living in the Kingdom of Thailand

Why on Earth would want anybody want to stay in the US especially if you have a Thai wife and your eligible to live in Thailand this is just my opinion based on the current climate and culture here in America what a horrible country
