Of course it's necessary. Your address needs registered with immigration within 24 hours or you will be fined. So expect a fine when you register.

Always come on a one way ticket. Never had any issues at immigration they only check your passport in my experience.

I was there on Friday just after 1pm and there was no queue.

Tip

I always complete my forms at home and photo copying before going to immigration including my telephone number.

Can be very tiring in the heat especially for children. Pram is a good idea not only for being tired but for shade. Many couples on holiday with children have prams with them.

Just go passport office. There is one 2nd or 3rd floor at villa market area on 2nd road Pattaya near Robin Hood pub.
