A friend of mine is planning to fly to Thailand from Moscow for 30 days in September but his passport expires in December is this going to be a problem?
Also is it best to bring US Dollars or Russian Roubles?
Many thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A friend's concern about visiting Thailand with a passport expiring in December may pose a problem at check-in, as airlines usually require at least 6 months of validity on passports. While Thai immigration might be lenient, it is advisable to renew the passport beforehand. Regarding currency, it's suggested to check rates on the SuperrichTH app, as the best option will depend on amounts being exchanged.

Should renew his passport before he travels, you never know what might happen Zelensky might be in the Kremlin.
No I know he is a clown, ex comedian being used like a puppet by the US & Europe & too stupid to see it. Ukraine will bleed the West dry in the coming years.
do you know that Russia has committed extensive war crimes against Ukraine. The only bleeding here are the Ukrainian people. Did Ukraine invade Russia, No, Russia invaded Ukraine. Even threatening to use nuclear bombs. Why because Russia can’t win against Ukraine due to its military being so weak.
Don't be so naive, Russia never threatened to use nuclear weapons unless you belive Western propaganda. As for the Russian military being weak they are being successful despite the billions of dollars worth of military support from the US & West
Putin was seen stating this in an announcement. I live in Singapore and was on the National news showing him stating this and also Al Jazeera. He stated this.
So I guess you believe all Western media without question? What a shame! I believe i have a more balanced view & don't forget the BBC produced a documentary acknowledging the existence of Nazis in Ukraine & the attacks carried out by Ukrainians in the Dombass
Jo, you seem like a decent bloke based on your taste of music, I guess we are just gonna have to agree to disagree. I will be back in Phuket in September & happy to have a beer & discuss
Technically you need 6 months on a valid passport expiry. Although immigration here usually won’t care. Their airline might.
Download the SuperrichTH app to see instant updates on the rates you’ll likely get on the streets. Most kiosks will be pretty similar so unless you’re changing thousands you’ll not see any real differences.
No idea if you’ll get a better rate if you pay to change to dollars from roubles in order to change to Thai baht.
