If immigration take a dislike to you, if you don’t have 20,000 baht in cash they can refuse entry. Officially you should carry that amount when entering Thailand but it’s rarely enforced.

Who comes to Thailand with one card. I bring more cards for this reason in case the ATM swallows the card or I forget to take out.
