yes, the instructions are detailed but pretty clear, for something as important as that, u certainly dont want tl leave it to random advice on the details-- the best advice already made was, if you are uncertain at this early stage, hire a pro.

boy, these are the kinds of real travelers- tourists that Thailand wants-- and needs-- spend their money here, helping economy. noble goal to get the bad guys out, but they're sweeping up many good guys too.

exactly-- there are a number of reputable medical insurance companies, but many assume because it's thailand, u can buy great coverage cheaply-' simply not true-- more cheaply tha n back home, probably, but still not cheap. And has been shared, so much depends on individual circumstances, age and medical history, being the key factors . Pre-existing conditions will not be covered, or covered with an additional surcharge. some will tout this or thsst which provides great and all-encompassing coverage for a very inexpensive premium. well, the old adage applies: if it seems too good to be true....

with insurance, like so many things, the devil is in the details. review all plan benefits, understand any deductibles and exclusions, and know that minkmal maximums won't last long at a chosen hospital.

google and search this group for recommended company names, but also remember, medical insurance companies are "for profit" outfits, they are not your friend.

as pointed out, illegal to work on a tourist visa and without work permit, but, unfortunately, thsi regs also prohibit volunteering without appropriate visa and work permit. unfortunate waste if people's talent snd skills, but those are the rules.

agree when they depart Thailand, no one will ask them for the tm30, assuming a hotel has addressed that. think of the huge numbers of tourists departing every day after staying in Thailand, and no one asks for tm30.
