Advice needed. How many SETV can I apply for in one year please? I already got one in December an used it up an returned to the UK in January. I can't find anywhere online that says if there is a limit to the amount I can have. Kind regards

Hi folks,

I have SETV with 3 months of validity to enter the country before April 8th. I won't be able to do that. Is there any option to extend the visa or if I want to enter later I have to apply for a new one?

Any negatives I will have with the embassy when applying again, created by me not using the one they already gave me?

Dear Visa experts.

I'm Icelandic and arriving from Iceland to Thailand 11th of January and leaving to Vietnam for 2 weeks 11th of February.

This means 31 day in Thailand. 😮‍💨

(did not think this quite right 🙈)

Arriving again 24th - 27th February.

My understanding is that I need to apply for 60 days visa.

Is that Right? Because of this 1 day.

Do I apply for multi visa or single and get new visa the 24th when I arrive again?

Is it easier to get single or is it the same progress?

Or can I ask for this 1 extra day after I arrive ?

Applied for my last visa and it took 4 weeks and was emailed to me 2 days before i was due to go from the UK to BKK

This time I thought I would get in early

Booked flight to BKK for 29th November for 71 days. Filled in and emailed tourist visa application to thai embassy London on the 27th August the applicayion form asked proof of flight and date etc as usual. And YES they passed, completed and returned within 2 days. So the visa I have got is valid for use 3 months from issue as usual. It runs out 2 days before I am due to go.

If I apply for another tourist visa from thai embassy London this week will they question why?.

Thanks

Andy

Can anyone offer any advice for the SETV. I’ve spent a lot of time in Thailand this year on tourist visas and extensions so I’m

Worried that they won’t let me in without a proper visa which is fine. If I apply for the SETV but my flight out of Thailand is in 30-40 days after arriving will it be rejected? 🤔 I will have been out of Thailand for three months before I return

Hey all! This is my first post so please go easy on me. 😅

My husband and I want to move to Thailand from the US with our 3 year old son for at least a year. We were considering the METV but are now thinking to get the SETV and then apply for the thai language ED visa once there. Based on what I’ve read here and online, there doesn’t seem to be a visa we can get for our son, however it seems the general consensus is that it’s not really an issue since there is not a fine for overstays for children under 13. That said, we are planning to move with pets and rent a house and have him enrolled in school so I don’t want to risk not being able to get back in to Thailand if we take a trip to explore neighboring countries. Does our plan seem reasonable? What do you think is the best/easiest way for us to spend 12 months+ in Thailand without risking being refused entry for too many visa runs?

I appreciate any thoughts or advice you may have for us! Thanks so much. 🙂

Hi everyone,

I’ve started an application for an STV visa on the thaievisa website. I’m hesitant to proceed without some clarification though.

I lived in Thailand from 2019-2021 and I was under the impression that an SETV (single entry tourist visa) would be my best/standard option for this trip. However, the website only shows an “STV” option, which I *think?* is the special tourist visa (which I thought they were doing away with)

Can anyone confirm what visa I’m actually applying for with STV on the thaievisa site, and how long that visa will be valid for?

Thanks in advance! 🙏

Hi.

I'm currently in CM on an SETV (from end of Sep). I plan to extend until mid December.

My question is about visa exempt on land borders. I have 1 visa exempt early in the year before I went back home in May.. in 2020 will this reset so I could potentially be allowed 2 visa exempts (+ extensions for a possible 4 months)?

I'll be going back to UK next summer (Vietnam after TH), but hoping I can stay in Thailand until at least Feb.

Hi guys, I'm certain there's a similar post on something similar here but after going through more than a dozen I start getting dizzy...

I'm a Polish and British national. Planning to go to Thailand for 6-12 months. I'd like to do a little bit of work on the side as a musician but mostly chill out, hopefully learn some Thai and if possible do some volunteering.

I'm not sure which route will be more sensible: SETV (60 + 30) - I don't fully understand how many times can I get in and out to renew (there's the 2 times per year rule);

METV (90 + 30?) - can I get a SETV after? Doubt I can get the second METV...

Also, as I have two passports, can I maximise by using these (in order not to have too many stamps in one?

Please explain like to an idiot...
