Hi everyone, Please can someone advice if my future plans will allow the visas that I hope to get.. I plan to come to Thailand from the UK on visitors visas for three months at a time (inc one border run) spending one month back in the UK each time to renew visas and trip insurance... So it would be 3 to 4 visits each year... I do not have the funds or income for retirement or possibly marriage ... I am 73 years old and will be spending my income of around £1600 each month.. Thank you in advance....

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual plans to visit Thailand on a tourist visa for three months at a time, returning to the UK for one month between trips. While tourist visas allow for a stay of 60 days plus an additional 30-day extension, frequent renewals may raise questions from immigration about living in Thailand without a proper visa. However, yearly visits of 3-4 times are generally considered acceptable, especially given the individual's age. Comments suggest the possibility of obtaining a NON-O visa through an agent as an alternative.

You can get a retirement Visathrough an agent and it will cost about 20,000 up front. No cash in bank and no problems. Just find a good agent. Cheaper than airfares.
thanks John, I am interested in the 3000 Baht insurance definitely... plus I will contact your agent too if you could send me the number.. very much appreciated, cheers.
If you wish to know an agent I can send you a phone number for mine or just look at Thai visas in Pattaya. Sae one at 10,000 baht the other day. Have fun here.
thanks John but it’s more the health insurance now that is the problem.. at 73 I’ve had a quote of £100 a week .... £80 a month trip insurance is my better option...
A tourist visa from the UK gives you 60 days on entry, which you can extend in country for a further 30 days. There is no limit to the number of visas you can obtain per year. Where most people have issues is when they are using a tourist visa (or exempt) to live here. After a while the immigration officer will question why they don’t have a correct visa for their visit. Coming 3 or 4 times a year shouldn’t pose a problem. At 73 I’m guessing they won’t think you’re trying to work in the country. The amount you spend is also irrelevant. Enjoy your time here.
just to be clear, i doubt also that immigration will fear his working here, but very likely they will believe he's trying to live here, to retire here, without the appropriate visa.
thank you so much for your answer Stuart, I was worried seeing others being refused but obviously they were not telling us all, my girlfriend will also be very pleased lol...
