Depends where you are located, Bangkok Immigration doesnโt care about TM30
Others places do...
But yes technically your owner should complete and lodge within 24 hours of your arrival...but a lot of foreigners lodge it themselves to know itโs done to avoid fine
Majo Lacko ok just checking because the way you worded the post was a bit unclear - and some people overstay because they are confused between visa expiry and permitted to stay stamps :))
You do realise your visa only gives you 60 + 30 days to stay in Thailand, and then you have to leave Thailand and return, and you can get up to 9 months of you last enter just before it expires. You donโt get 6 months stay on the first entry!
Please make sure you get a letter from your school to cancel any extension of stay (based on your ED visa) and take it to immigration to cancel BEFORE you leave Thailand.
The extension of stay does not automatically cancel on your departure, and even though you may return on a new visa, when you next report to immigration for 90 days report or a further extension, they may notice your previous extension of stay was not cancelled, and fine you up to 20,000 Baht for overstaying.
Just get the school to date the cancelation for the day you plan to leave Thailand, as you have to leave that day.
I will let others address your original question ๐
Lesley Smith when I returned from Australia recently they did want a new TM30 even for same address - so enforcement is not consistent evennis same office
Better to be safe than sorry...to avoid a potential fine
Honestly only takes about 5 minutes to lodge the TM30 anyway in Jomtien :))
