Hello everybody, right now I am in Thailand on 6 months METV (I can stay here until 1.1.2019). I will get married in november and I want to get Non-Immigrant Visa based on marriage (90days, later convert to 1 year extension). Where can I obtain this visa? Do I have to go back to my country (Slovakia) or can I get it in Malysia or some other country closer to Thailand?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user currently holds a 6-month METV and is seeking advice on obtaining a Non-Immigrant Visa based on marriage after getting married in November. Multiple comments confirm that it's possible to apply for this visa at local immigration offices in Thailand, and it's suggested to inquire directly for specific requirements. Additionally, the user is reminded about their current visa conditions and the need for clarity on permitted stay durations.

Your question is already been answered, but once you are married to a Thai citizen you can apply at your immigration office for a 60 days for family visit, providing proof of marriage, no proof of income needed.

You do realise your visa only gives you 60 + 30 days to stay in Thailand, and then you have to leave Thailand and return, and you can get up to 9 months of you last enter just before it expires. You don’t get 6 months stay on the first entry!

Majo Lacko ok just checking because the way you worded the post was a bit unclear - and some people overstay because they are confused between visa expiry and permitted to stay stamps :))

I already did some trips outside Thailand to get another 60 days stay. Last time I will enter Thailand on 4. Oct., so 60 days + 30 days extension = my stay is possible until 1. Jan.

OK, thank you very much.

Yes, the best thing is to make a visit to the Office and ask if they can do this, if yes ask for the hand out of the requirements. Do this early as some offices need 21 days permitted to stay left on your current stay.

I stay in Nakhon Sawan. So can I get initial 90-days visa on immigration office inside country?

I would say yes but best to check with them directly because every office operates differently. I was able to do this with my local immigration office.

Yes, I second Roberts comment. That was the visa that I originally changed over to when I came here. All done in country at Nonthaburi immigration.

Depending on where you stay in Thailand you can even get it at the Immigration Office in your area.
