Wrong !

You can also apply using monthly income of 65,000 Baht with no money in the account!

If you apply for retirement visa here in Thailand, no need to show any money!

You simply sign a stat dec at the Aussie Embassy in Bangkok, saying you get an income of 65,000 or more per month. Currently this is sufficient for immigration in Bangkok.

There is always a risk that immigration will ask you for financial records to back up the stat dec, but rarely asked as I understand.

You need to earn a minimum of 65,000 Baht per month or have 800,000 Baht in the account to correctly apply!

Marriage is different and someone else will give you those requirements 🙂

If you know anything about the indenting history summary check from the FBI, it always includes arrests...regardless if they are convicted or not...so he can’t take it off...as he was arrested.

Oh, yes ive tead about identity history summary checks with the FBI...interesting, they report anything associated with an arrest. In Australia they are only allowed to report convictions, not contacts or arrests, and after 10 years all minor criminal convictions are not reported any longer - for Name Check Only certificates. Other working with vulnerable people checks report everything 🙂

Anyway, just come to Thailand on a tourist visa and apply for it here...applying within Thailand you don’t need to provide a Police Certificate or Medical, you only need to provide if applying outside Thailand (i.e. in your home country) 🙂

That doesn’t make sense, the police certificate would not record anything unless you were convicted...so how would she know?!

Liping Wang you can obtain a METV in Australia so long as you meet their requirements - you do not have to be a resident or provide proof or residency as this is NOT one of the requirements

Depends where you are located, Bangkok Immigration doesn’t care about TM30

Others places do...

But yes technically your owner should complete and lodge within 24 hours of your arrival...but a lot of foreigners lodge it themselves to know it’s done to avoid fine
