TLDR : Answer Summary
After returning to Thailand on a 3-month ED visa, you may need to handle your TM30 registration depending on where you are located. In Bangkok, it has been noted that the immigration office does not enforce TM30 compliance strictly, and it typically does not affect other immigration services such as extensions or residency certificates. However, outside of Bangkok, it is more crucial for your landlord to file the TM30 within 24 hours of your arrival to avoid fines. Many foreigners choose to file it themselves to ensure compliance.

Okay, ONE LAST TIME the immigration office in Bangkok does NOT care if you or your land lord EVER filed a TM.30 form. It does NOT affect you in the least when you go to the immigration office to get an extension, get a certificate of residence, do a 90 day report or get a re-entry permit.

To reiterate the advice you were given, you don't need to do TM30 in Bangkok, end of.

Depends where you are located, Bangkok Immigration doesn’t care about TM30

Others places do...

But yes technically your owner should complete and lodge within 24 hours of your arrival...but a lot of foreigners lodge it themselves to know it’s done to avoid fine
