Take your passport, TM30 receipt. That’s it. Fill out the form they will give you when you say you want to do a 90 day report.

It’s probably the easiest, and least significant procedure in an immigration office.

Try not to overthink it.

If you’re on a tight schedule just fly to Malaysia and back on the sane day. There’s no visa fee to enter Malaysia either

Filing a tax return and paying taxes are slightly different things

Why would you sit in a van for 15 hours for the best part of 6 grand when you could fly somewhere nice for the day and come back for less than that?

What people usually provide as that proof is; the entry stamp in their passport from Vietnam immigration at the airport. Their boarding pass from the airline, and their accommodation proof, which an AirBnB booking/receipt is.

If you are in the country for 90 consecutive days you report that fact to your immigration office (your TM30 designated which office is ‘yours’). That is what a 90 day report is.

If you’re not in the country for 90 consecutive days, then you don’t.

Anonymous participant 648 it’s quite likely that your ‘visa’ is in fact an extension of stay now.

Your initial 90 day visa did indeed work like that. It had a validity period (valid from <date> to <date>) and you would get a 90 day stamp at immigration when you entered the country during that period.

Now you’re on extensions your re entry permit gets you stamped in till the end date of that extension.

you’ve been asked a question by the consulate. You must have a plan as to how you’re going to sustain yourself whilst in Thailand. You’re going to live off your savings.
