You shouldn’t have to ask them to help you really. They’re required by law to register a TM30 when you check in. The only help you’d need is a copy of that registration. 😊
Biff *******
Yes. That’s a good idea. What some people do if a TM30 is required and difficult to obtain, is to stay in a hotel for one night just to get the TM30

You only need to get your permission to stay extended if you plan on staying longer than the 30 days you got stamped in for.

Usually what’s required is; copy of passport ID page. Copy of entry stamp. Copy of TM30 (not required in every immigration office)

Photo (some offices do that for you), and the application form.

Can’t you just go get a stamp made? I suppose it’s a bit late now, unless you make a new application in KL, with a ‘company stamp’ on the letter?

Apparently my comment was removed with a note explaining to me what TiT means 🙄

Blue ink so it doesn’t look like a photo copy. Obviously this was before color copying but some people just insist on it being a ‘thing’ and make you do it in blue.

I think, to be honest, they kind of like you to fill it in when you’re there. 🤷‍♂️

I didn’t spot the similarity with an airport where you’re required to announce your departure

No need to wait till the current permission to stay expires, or is close to expiring. The 30 day extension will be added to it, so no days are lost by going early.

single, but the principle is the same. They want booked accommodation, so I gave it to them, then cancelled it. If I had been going for a multiple, then I would’ve booked another for the dates I was entering Thailand the second time.

I recently got a single entry tourist visa, but showed a booking for 60 days. I don’t actually need a hotel at all so I used one from Agoda with free cancellation. It worked fine.
