Hello everyone, I am currently on an ED visa and want to change to a Non-B visa. I asked my school for a cancellation letter, but they refused because I still owe them fees. I am already outside Thailand. My question is: can I apply for another type of visa while my current one is still active?

This question is being ask by a member wishing to post anonymously.

I just got my non-b visa with the school I am currently employed with. It is valid until 30 May, and they have started the process to apply for my work permit. I also got my re-entry permit because I am visiting home for the month of April. However, I want to relocate within Thailand and change schools/employers soon. Should I wait until I have my work permit? Or should I resign as soon as possible. Will they be able to cancel my non-b visa if I do quit? Or should I first find a new employer before quitting my current job?

On April 23rd when I entered with STV, it had been mentioned at the Thai Embassy that I would be able to stay in Thailand for 270 days (90 days + 2 extensions).

I will renew it for the 1st time at the end of July. However, I have learned that this program will expire on September 30th.

1. Will the added the September deadline for STV apply to people like me seeking for extensions only?

1. Can I apply for an early (2nd) renewal before Sept. 30th?

1. Is there any responsive email address to the immigration or some authorities that I can send to about these visa related queries?

This group has been so helpful. Thanks.

Ok so here we go....

I have a non r religious visa that expires

nov 25th.

It was issued in korat... now i dont live there and haven't been living there for almost about 1 year. My new address is in chaing rai, i have been doing all of my 90 day reports here in chaing rai under my new address,

i would like to renew for another 1 year .

..immigration said that, in order for me to renew for another year, i need to cancel my non r from korat make it predated to the 25th of nov. and submit all supporting documentation from the New temple of residence by the 11th so chaing rai can issue a new non r according to the new address i live... is that right? Im confused to the max... i mean they know i live here i been doing all my check ups here in chaing rai, never in korat.... i dont want to have to leave thailand as thats a scary choice and might not be let back in!?
