What should I do if my visa application is delayed and my entry stamp expires soon?
Applied online at Vietnam.
Submitted on 9 April. Asked for extra documents last week. Until today 24 April still asking for additional documents like every page of my passport and extra passport photo.
My entry stamp is only valid till 7 May. What happens if it is not approved by 7 May? Anyone got into this situation before?

The user is experiencing delays with their visa application in Vietnam, having submitted it on 9 April and being asked for additional documents multiple times before the entry stamp expires on 7 May. Community members suggest providing the requested documents promptly, ensuring compliance with photo requirements, and communicating with the embassy if time is running short.

They want an extra password photo because you probably submitted the same photo that is in your passport and that passport is older than 6 months. The requirements for the passport photo are very clear: it must not be older than 6 months. Was that the case?

Ok, I'm just trying to understand why the visa consular officer is taking so long. He might have some suspicion that something's wrong with you. The new passport seems to have caught his attention. I hope you get your approval soon.

that's is what I suspect as well. Thanks for the well wishesTim ***********
Did you take new photos especially or did you use an older photo for your new passport and visa application, which you may have previously used for a visa extension or any other visa in Thailand? Today, with this new data-collecting software and fingerprints as a link, they can look deep into your visa history and see everything you have ever applied for in Thailand.

my passport was a new photo that I took on the day I applied for passport. But I submitted the same photo for the dtv.Anonymous *************

it's the same photo but it's brand new. I made my passport before applying so I wouldn't run out of pages. Might be why they asked for new passport photo and all the other pages of the passport.

They want all pages of your passport to show you’re still in Vietnam.
Send them what they asked for and you should be ok.

my worry is that I won't be able to get it before my visa is up.

Anonymous participant it will probably come fairly quickly after you supply all passport pages (including blank ones) as that's usually a last check to ensure you are still in the country

oh.. It's no longer the taking photo of the newspaper.Biff *******
I understand that, but there's not really much else you can do is there. It sounds like it's the latter stages of the process anyway, so upload the docs and cross your fingers.

Are you combining all documents into a single PDF file? You can only upload a single document per section and any additional uploads will replace the previous upload.

no.. They asked for a different document on each occasionAnonymous ******************
Email them and explain your circumstances! Don’t listen to the people that will scare you into believing you shouldn’t email the embassy if you have limited time on your current visa.
