I just want to let you know, I did my first 90day report today.

I have seen some people tried online and it worked, I tried also online and it worked out, was my first 90day report on the DTV!

Good luck for all and hope you don’t have to go to the immigration 💪🏻

UPDATE

Got the mail that the report got rejected, first time have to be present in person!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around an expat's experience with their first 90-day report in Thailand, which they attempted to submit online but ultimately had to go in person after their online submission was rejected. Many commenters provide insights on the process of reporting, highlighting that initial acknowledgment emails do not confirm approval of the report. Some share positive experiences with online submissions, while others caution about potential rejections requiring physical presence at the immigration office.

I did a TM30 and a few minutes later was at immigration doing my 90 day report. It was quick and easy. Previously, I only ever had an agent do my 90 day reports for me, so this was the first time I've done one myself. It took me 5 minutes. I spent more time parking my car inside immigration and walking towards the building where I had to file my report.

That is what I got in the E-Mail

What specifically do oyu need to report on day 90.

@Ryan ******
you are reporting that you have been in the country 90 consecutive days and your address is the same as your most recent TM30.

thanks.. Are you allowed to switch living locations?
Paul *******
@Ryan ******
Of course! On a DTV that's a normal thing to do. Just do a new TM30 before filing the Tm47.

Not just apartments but cities

Glad I’m not the only one. I’ve done this too and got it APPROVED. It’s possible. 🤷‍♂️

You can't apply online if you're on a DTV and you've just entered or re-entered the country. After EACH re-entry you must either mail in your report or do it in person. Only the SECOND time can it be done online but for most DTV holders, you'll either be leaving the country for a border run by then or doing an extension of stay (so you might as well do your 90 day report at the same time). Thus only at the 270 day mark would you be able to do an online 90 day report for the first and ONLY time. The next time you can do it online will be 1 year later, assuming the same circumstances.

@Kris *********
did you get the two emails?
Kris **********
@Felipe ********
Yes I did, that’s why I caps the approve. I’ve never had to go in. I’ve heard mixed things and I don’t know what the difference is. The only thing I can think of is people that are bouncing around Thailand vs the people staying put in one place.
Paul *******
@Kris *********
No. You have to do the first one in person or mail it in. On a DTV, you're bouncing around anyway so you'll only rarely be able to do one online.

I don’t know why people keep calling me out for this. I’ve been to Thailand 4 times, this is the 5th. I’m just saying what I’ve done, what’s worked for me and the result. You all do what you need to do, I’ll keep applying online and making my life easier instead of going to immigration. Y’all do what works for you. 🤷‍♂️

Dont think so I tried 1st one it was rejected had to go to immigration

Wonderful story

When reporting online you get 2 emails if approved, the first is acknowledgement of the report, the second confirms the report has been accepted or rejected. Don't confuse the first email as confirmation.

oh ok, good to know, than I will wait, tought that will be the confirmation, bite I’m sure I’ll not get it soon as now is Songkran and anyway I’m leaving on the 16th again for few weeks…
Biff *******
Did you get an approval or was it just an acknowledgment of the receipt of your report?
Mat ******

@Biff ******
thanks, only the acknowledgment, now they need a bit of time to reply as it is Songkran here😎

@Biff ******
this, probably just a notification and rejection coming in a few days

My understanding is you are able to submit online, but you will receive an email in a few days (maybe longer because of holiday), that it is actually rejected. What I believe you received is acceptance that they received your submission, not that that it was ultimately accepted. I could be wrong, so others should

Chime in
