Good luck for all and hope you don’t have to go to the immigration 💪🏻

Bumrungrad offers a service for 90 day report, so you dont need to do it yourself. It's like 600 baht and you can drop off passport and pick it up in a few days.

I did this rather than going to the immigration office since I heard that the wait can be long.

Yes, it has to be ‘in person’, but it doesn’t have to be you. You can send someone on your behalf. Depending on how far you have to travel, it can also be cheaper, not mention more time effective. It was for me.

I did my first 90 day check in on my DTV

I made a mistake by going to the immigration office in Bangkok I waited 5 hours only to find out I was at the wrong office.

I now know you have to go to the immigration office in your area. It took 10 minutes

"Your area" = fixed by doing a TM30 first, then wherever you did the TM30, the nearest immigration office has jurisdiction over it.

I did a TM30 and a few minutes later was at immigration doing my 90 day report. It was quick and easy. Previously, I only ever had an agent do my 90 day reports for me, so this was the first time I've done one myself. It took me 5 minutes. I spent more time parking my car inside immigration and walking towards the building where I had to file my report.

you are reporting that you have been in the country 90 consecutive days and your address is the same as your most recent TM30.

Of course! On a DTV that's a normal thing to do. Just do a new TM30 before filing the Tm47.

Glad I’m not the only one. I’ve done this too and got it APPROVED. It’s possible. 🤷‍♂️

You can't apply online if you're on a DTV and you've just entered or re-entered the country. After EACH re-entry you must either mail in your report or do it in person. Only the SECOND time can it be done online but for most DTV holders, you'll either be leaving the country for a border run by then or doing an extension of stay (so you might as well do your 90 day report at the same time). Thus only at the 270 day mark would you be able to do an online 90 day report for the first and ONLY time. The next time you can do it online will be 1 year later, assuming the same circumstances.

Yes I did, that’s why I caps the approve. I’ve never had to go in. I’ve heard mixed things and I don’t know what the difference is. The only thing I can think of is people that are bouncing around Thailand vs the people staying put in one place.

No. You have to do the first one in person or mail it in. On a DTV, you're bouncing around anyway so you'll only rarely be able to do one online.

I don’t know why people keep calling me out for this. I’ve been to Thailand 4 times, this is the 5th. I’m just saying what I’ve done, what’s worked for me and the result. You all do what you need to do, I’ll keep applying online and making my life easier instead of going to immigration. Y’all do what works for you. 🤷‍♂️

When reporting online you get 2 emails if approved, the first is acknowledgement of the report, the second confirms the report has been accepted or rejected. Don't confuse the first email as confirmation.

My understanding is you are able to submit online, but you will receive an email in a few days (maybe longer because of holiday), that it is actually rejected. What I believe you received is acceptance that they received your submission, not that that it was ultimately accepted. I could be wrong, so others should

Basically, I have been doing since more than 3 years via tm47.immigration.go.th. I just applied for mine a few days ago and am now waiting for it to get approved. You just need to fill out the information very accurately and submit it at least 10 days in advance. That would be the most suitable time to do it.
