Maybe whoever’s in charge of immigration at the airport has decided on this particular stance with DTV holders? Who knows. As you know there’s so much leeway given for interpretation of rules, in all sectors, not just immigration, that it’s common to see these variations in service levels and requirements all over the country.

Most of those reports mentioned they entered at Chiang Mai airport. Everywhere else seems normal.

Anonymous participant fair enough but it’s one of the most expensive places in Thailand. In the medium to long term, I’d advise you to start looking elsewhere.

You report the address that your TM30 registered you at. That also determines which immigration office you use.

If you’re staying in hotels, ask them for a copy of the TM30 as they will be the ones filing it on your behalf.
