There are only few visas that you can get a new bank account with. DTV is an excellent tourist visa however. Go to different banks for a talk, you wont get an answer from here since this is Thailand.... ;)

 yes I did, number 4 this time, in august i used vientiane bridge. Only stayed laos few minutes

Will I face any issues with re-entering Thailand after using my full 180 days on a DTV visa?

No. I lived here 3years before got my dtv, with exempts and one ED. Now here 15months with dtv, have done 3 5minute border runs by land, last one just 2days ago at laos FB4. I crossed the border with my phone, passport, visa and 2000thb. That much I was worried about anonymous fearmongering
