Has anyone had recent experience in applying for extension of retirement visa at Jomtien Immigration? I hear rumors that they have changed their policy relating to rentals of property owned by non-resident foreign individuals and now, in addition to the usual landlord docs, require their Thai Tax Identification Number. My condo is owned by a Chinese investor and I believe that will a problem. Any experience with this would be much appreciated.

Hi folks,any Australians been asked by their Australian banks (mines Westpac) to provide a Thai Tax Identication Number?

I'm a retired pensioner on a Non O Retirement Visa and have been here over 180 days.

The request came about ..apparently..because I registered a Thai phone number..linked to my Thai bank accounts.

Sounds a bit serious as they're saying that they could block my account..in Australia..if I don't provide the required information.

Any feed back is appreciated .

Has anyone managed to get a Thai Tax Identification number. How was the process. They are saying after 180 days here we become tax residents, but can’t open bank accounts etc. was just wandering how straightforward it is to get the TIN? Many thanks. 🙏🏻
