You don’t understand Thai culture. Your old passport will only make it more difficult for you. First remove all the money in the account with your previous surname. Second, close the account. Third, go to a different bank and open an account or go to a different SCB and open an account. This is the way to go with the flow of Thai culture.

I am a U.S. citizen and applied for a tourist visa at the Thai embassy in Seoul, South Korea. They did it. Took me 2 days to submit all the correct documents and it took them 3 additional weeks to complete their paperwork.

Just pay the fine and dispose of that fake document. Don’t cry to us and try to trick us into believing that is real. It is not written in American English and it is not from the United States.

I did it here at the unfriendliest embassy, my US embassy. My Thai wife and I married in the US and got a Non-O marriage visa for me.
