If you own a home in Canada, rent it out for a year and get yourself a condo here in Thailand. Come and see what it's like to live here. If you like it and can actually see yourself and your family staying and being happy here, then think about making the move permanently. Living here is vastly different from being a tourist, even a long term tourist.
Right. Like I said, I'm not surprised they're closing pools. They're clearly prioritizing money over controlling covid, and then trying to claim their money saving measures are covid control measures. It's frustrating, but not surprising here in Thailand.
From an infection control perspective, most of the restrictions I've seen taking place here in TH make absolutely zero sense, so I'm really not surprised your building is closing the pool. I was staying at a serviced residence in bkk that closed their pool, but was still running a breakfast buffet in a small, cramped restaurant and had their rooftop bar packed every night.
I made one post here about my quarantine room filling up with paint fumes and advised people to avoid that particular hotel and I got tons of hateful comments. People calling me a bitch, a pussy, etc etc. Seems like there are lots of assholes in this group. Also lots of helpful people though lol.
yeah or maybe just an NYC thing even lol. I asked one of my friends that frequently uses Qatar out of Atlanta if he's had this issue and he said they never ask him either so maybe the NYC crew is just more strict 😅
